 2012  DATES TO MARK  ON YOUR CALENDAR
 

           • Oct 5 - 8 and 15th - No KIDS CLUB Reminder. 
              Please find alternate care for your child(ren).

           • Oct 8 - Thanksgiving Holiday -   Our SPEC office is closed for the day.

           • Oct 15 - Our SPEC office is closed for all-day Staff Meeting and Training.

           • Nov 12 - Our SPEC Office is closed in lieu of Remembrance Day

2012 This Year's Past Happenings. . .

September 18, 2012 - Annual General Meeting of The SPEC Association.

May 23, 2012 - Connections Leadership and Resiliency year-end conference was a Carnival-theme, complete with candy floss, snow cones and lots of activities.

May 15, 2012 - SPEC Community BBQ - A thank you to all of our community friends.

May 9, 2012 - Ultimate Mom's Club at SPEC.  A great time browsing and shopping at some of our local home-based business displays set up at SPEC.

May 7-11, 2012 - DRESS for SPEC week!  A "fun" fundraiser!!!  Schools, banks, and business employees collected over $3000 by donating a twoonie a day to dress however they chose!  All of the proceeds will go towards the many programs offered by the SPEC Association for Children and Families.  THANK YOU to all who participated!

April 3, 2012 - proud to be a part of the 11th Annual Brooks and District Resiliency Celebration which honors 30 adults from our community who have been making a difference in the lives of our youth.

On Tuesday, April 3rd
April 2012 - SPEC was at the Brooks and District Trade Show and in partnership with the Chamber, we hostedthe Astro Dome from the TELUS Spark, the new science centre.

Mar 12-24, 2012 - Dining for SPEC event sponsored by Wasana Restaurant! Thank you to Wasana's Kham and Sompong, Photographs by Greg Graham who donated a framed photograph and to everyone who supported this  event.  Congratulations to Dave Zukowski, the winner of the silent auction!  Thanks to all of you, $1,588 was raised towards programs provided by The SPEC Association forChildren and Families!

Feb 27, 2012  - Revision:  To provide a variety of supportive, preventive, educational and counselling services for persons at risk or in need,
that promote healthy development and  healthy relationships, with a primary focus on children and families.  In order to update our Association
Objects, the above Special Resolution will be proposed to membership for approval at a Special General Meeting on February 27, 2012
